Required Controlled Substance Education

Everyone renewing their controlled substance Delaware license is required to complete a one-time one hour of DE specific education and every renewal period, two-hours of non-DE specific education in the area of controlled substance prescribing practices, treatment of chronic pain and other topics related to prescribing controlled substances.  Below are links to the DE specific education and non-DE specific education that will meet this requirement.

 

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE EDUCATION

CSR holders must complete a one-time requirement of one-hour of Delaware-specific education and two-hours of non-Delaware-specific education biennially each renewal period to renew their Controlled Substance Registration.

ONE-HOUR OF DELAWARE-SPECIFIC EDUCATION

This is a one-time requirement for practitioners to receive a controlled substance registration.

TWO-HOUR NON-DELAWARE SPECIFIC EDUCATION

In addition, Controlled Substance Registrants must also attest to the completion of two-hours of non-Delaware-specific education in the areas of controlled substance prescribing practices, treatment of chronic pain, or other topics related to the prescribing of controlled substances. This education is required for each controlled substance registration renewal period and must be completed by June 30th of odd years.
