Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant, Otolaryngology to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Physician Assistant reports to and functions directly under the supervision of the attending physician. Duties include making hospital rounds with physicians, preoperative history and physicals, evaluating and managing patients, writing admitting/pre-op/post-op orders, any other procedures as deemed necessary for patient care as directed by the supervising physicians, and providing coordination of assigned division specialty programs. Performs on-call duties to include (but not limited to) accepting after-hours phone calls from patients and from hospital nursing personnel. Dispenses medical advice regarding these inquiries in accordance with existing patient treatment policies.

Position Requirements:
• Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Clear and active license as a Physician Assistant in the state of Delaware.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current certification in BCLS, PALS and ACLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in pediatrics. Other job experience may not be substituted for this requirement.
• Experience in pediatric surgery preferred.
