DAPA would like to award a Delaware practicing PA DAPA member  or DAPA PA student member with a financial grant to attend the AAPA Leadership & Advocacy Summit (LAS) this March 14-16 (arrival date March 13) at the Westin, Alexandria, Virginia.  The cost of registration, hotel room, and travel for the chosen applicant is provided by the DAPA scholarship fund with a grant reimbursement up to $1000.   LAS has a full day dedicated to federal advocacy and visits with legislators on Capitol Hill, as well as sessions focusing on critical issues facing the profession (such as Optimal Team Practice), best practices for constituent organization leaders, advocacy skill building, networking and important understanding of current issues facing the profession and how to make positive change.  This event also provides Category I CME.

DAPA would like to award a Delaware practicing DAPA member or DAPA PA student member with a financial grant to the AAPA House of Delegates (HOD) on May 18-20 (arrival date May 17), 2019 at the Hyatt Regency in Denver, CO.  The cost of hotel room, flight and HOD registration for the chosen applicant is  provided by DAPA scholarship fund with a grant reimbursement up to $1200.  The AAPA HOD has the sole authority on behalf of AAPA to enact policies establishing the collective values, philosophies, and principals of the PA profession.  Examples of past  issues and policies addressed by the HOD have included Optimal Team Practice (OTP), innovative healthcare delivery methods, medicare coverage, PA privileges, medical liability reform, health promotion, disease prevention and leadership excellence.
